Parker CO Area – 2020 Ford F-150 vs 2020 Chevy Silverado
Big Mike Naughton Ford – Parker CO Area – 2020 Ford F-150 vs 2020 Chevy Silverado
The F-150 and Silverado are two of the most popular pickup trucks on the road, and the team at Big Mike Naughton Ford serving Parker, Centennial, and Aurora, Colorado recently presented our 2020 Ford F-150 vs 2020 Chevrolet Silverado comparison. In this blog post, our goal is to take a closer look at your cab and bed options as well as towing capabilities.
Bed Options
You may have noticed that the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado beds are listed as a bit longer on the spec sheet. They range from about 69 to 98 inches whereas the Ford beds range from about 66 to 96. The difference can be several inches in some cases, but the practical difference is minimal. The F-150 beds can, for instance, accommodate a 4-by-8 sheet of plywood just fine. In terms of durability ratings, but have performed well and similarly in independent testing. There are similar lining options available for both trucks, but critics have seemed to prefer the tie-down options offered by Ford.
Cab Options
Chevrolet offers a regular cab, a double cab and a crew cab. Ford offers a regular cab, a SuperCab and a SuperCrew. Names aside, these three options are quite similar. The main difference between the double SuperCab and crew SuperCrew is half-size versus full-size doors. Another difference is that Ford offers the best legroom in class. Consider that Ford gives you 43.6 inches of legroom whereas Chevy gives you 43.4 in similarly equipped crew cab models. While 0.2 inches may not seem like a big deal, it can be when seating large adults who have to travel around and work out of that truck all day.
Towing Capabilities
Towing is an area where you have to look beyond the marketing. While the trucks are similar in regard to towing capabilities, Chevrolet claims higher maximums. Ford, however, offers higher minimums. The base F-150 can tow more than the base Silverado, and you only need step up one engine level with the F-150 to get more than 400 pound-feet of torque. Chevy requires you to step up more than that, so you really need to compare towing capabilities within the context of your budget.

Big Mike Naughton Ford – Get to Know the 2020 Ford Escape Near Centennial CO
The 2020 Ford Escape has arrived at Big Mike Naughton Ford serving Denver, Centennial, and Aurora, Colorado, and we recently completed our 2020 Ford Escape vs 2020 Chevrolet Equinox comparison. If you are in the market for a small crossover, chances are you are considering both. With this blog post, we wanted to take a closer look at the technologies, which is an area where the Escape really shines.
Driver Assistance Technologies
Even if you opt for the base Escape, you get Ford Co-Pilot 360, and this is among the important ways that Ford distinguishes the new Escape from the 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. This suite includes a blind-spot information system with cross-traffic alerts, pre-collision assistance with automatic emergency braking, automatic headlamp and high beam control, lane-keeping assist and a rearview camera. Standard driver assistance technologies on the Equinox are limited automatic headlamp and high beam control, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and mitigation and a rearview camera.
Infotainment Systems
Ford Sync 3 and Chevrolet Infotainment System 3 are both state-of-the-art solutions and among the best options in the class. Sync 3, however, nudges out MyLink according to most automotive journalists due to intuitive layout and responsiveness as well as the overall attractiveness of the presentation. That subjectivity aside, both are excellent options, and you can expect all of the usual features including a touchscreen, voice command support, branded smartphone integration, USB ports and Bluetooth connectivity, and both models let you upgrade the system with integrated navigation.
Other Tech
While the Equinox is no slouch in the tech department, the new Escape is helping to establish a new standard in the class, such as FordPass Connect being included standard. FordPass Connect is an app locate your vehicle as well as remotely lock/unlock and start/stop. Both manufacturers include a six-speaker audio system as standard equipment, and both offer a premium upgrade. Ford has partnered with B&O whereas Chevrolet has partnered with Bose.
Final Thoughts
If you are interested in the Escape, then we strongly encourage you to visit our location to test-drive it. No appointment needed. Simply visit us whenever it is convenient. If you cannot make it just yet but do want to learn more about the available technologies, contact us online.
